Let AI use passwords without ever touching them.

The MimiKey SDK lets your app or AI assistant borrow a single credential from the user. They approve it on a card inside MimiKey, and you receive one sealed result only this device can open. Nothing else.

Four steps from integration to result.

  1. 1

    Register your app

Register under Developer access in MimiKey to get a client_id. Mobile and desktop apps are public clients and need no secret.

  2. 2

    The user authorizes

The SDK opens MimiKey, where the user picks which vaults to share and whether to approve every request or trust your app.

  3. 3

Request, then approve on a card

Call pickItem, getItem, createItem or updateItem. MimiKey shows the matching card, and the user picks, fills in or confirms.

  4. 4

    A sealed result comes back

The result is encrypted to this authorization's key. The SDK opens it in your app, and it lives only in process memory.

A few lines of Swift.

MimiKeySDK is a Swift package that depends only on CryptoKit, Security and SwiftUI.

Package.swift
// Or in Xcode: File → Add Package Dependencies
dependencies: [
    .package(path: "../MimiKeySDK"),
],
targets: [
    .target(name: "MyApp", dependencies: ["MimiKeySDK"]),
]

Watch the demo app in action.

MimiKey Demo is a third-party app built with the SDK. It asks MimiKey to authorize, pick, create and update items, and never touches anything you didn't approve.

  1. 1
Tap Pick an item in the demo app

The demo app only sends the request. It never draws a screen for typing passwords.

  2. 2
First time? Authorize it in MimiKey

The consent card lists what the app can do. You choose which vault to share and whether to approve every request.

  3. 3
Tap Use this item on MimiKey's card

Candidates are ranked by website, and the card is drawn by MimiKey's own process.

  4. 4
Back in the demo, with just that item

The result is sealed to this authorization and opened by the SDK in process memory.

Shows a third-party app using the SDK to authorize, pick, create and update items through MimiKey approval cards.

What the SDK never sees

  • The user's master password, Secret Key, vault keys or identity private key
  • The item list, or any item the user didn't approve
  • Passwords for new items, which are typed on MimiKey's secure card
  • New values in an update, which the SDK seals to the user's account before sending, so the server sees only ciphertext

The SDK writes no logs and caches no plaintext. Its approval and sealing keys live in the system Keychain and never sync or migrate.

Approval cards are drawn by MimiKey, not by your app.

Every screen where the user decides whether to share, which item, what to fill in or what to change appears only in MimiKey's own process. You can customize the name, icon and brand color. MimiKey sets the card's structure, buttons and risk warnings.
