Terms of service

Welcome to MimiKey. These terms are an agreement between you and Hangzhou Teminuosi Artificial Intelligence Technology Co., Ltd. (杭州特米诺思人工智能科技有限公司, "we") about your use of MimiKey. By creating an account or using any MimiKey product, you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy.

Effective date: November 6, 2026

#1. The service

MimiKey is an end-to-end encrypted password manager. It stores your passwords, passkeys, one-time code secrets and other sensitive information, syncs them across your devices, and, when you approve, hands a single item to an app you authorize.

You can use it on one device only (standalone vault) or create an account to sync and share.

#2. You hold your master password and Secret Key

• Decrypting your data requires your master password and Secret Key. Both stay on your devices; we have no copy.
• We cannot reset your master password or recover your data. Keep your Emergency Kit (which contains your Secret Key) safe. If you lose both the master password and the Secret Key, your data is permanently inaccessible by design.
• You are responsible for actions taken with your account, devices and keys. If you suspect someone else is using your account, change your master password, revoke unknown devices and contact us immediately.

#3. Accounts

• Register with a real email address you can receive mail at.
• An account is for one person. To share with family or colleagues, use shared vaults.
• You may stop using MimiKey and ask us to close your account at any time (see the privacy policy).

#4. Acceptable use

You must not use MimiKey to:

• store or distribute content that violates the laws of the People's Republic of China or other applicable law;
• store or distribute other people's credentials without their permission;
• attack, scan or disrupt our servers, or circumvent usage limits or security measures;
• reverse-engineer the apps in order to harm other users or us (except where the law permits).

If you breach these rules we may restrict or terminate your account and reserve the right to pursue legal remedies.

#5. Third-party authorization

When you approve giving an item to another app, that app receives the item in plaintext. How it uses and stores the item afterwards is that app's responsibility, and we cannot control it. Only authorize apps you trust, and revoke access you no longer need.

#6. Plans and fees

MimiKey is currently free. The free plan has limits on devices, items and similar usage, as shown on the pricing page. If we introduce paid plans, we will publish prices and features in advance; you will see the price clearly before buying and will not be charged automatically unless you turn on renewal. Purchases made through an app store are refunded under that store's rules.

#7. Availability

We work to keep the service reliable but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We will try to give advance notice of maintenance or upgrades.

Because each signed-in device keeps a full encrypted copy of your data, you can still view synced items on those devices while the server is unavailable. We recommend exporting a backup regularly.

#8. Intellectual property

The MimiKey software, trademarks, interface design and documentation belong to us. The content you store in MimiKey belongs to you; we do not and cannot read it.

#9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law:

• we are not liable for losses caused by your losing your master password, Secret Key or device, or by malware controlling your device;
• losses arising from a third-party app's use of information you gave it are that app provider's responsibility;
• our total liability to you for losses arising from the service will not exceed the fees you actually paid us in the 12 months before the loss occurred.

#10. Changes and termination

We may update these terms and will change the effective date above; for material changes we will show a clear notice in the apps or on the website. If you keep using MimiKey after a change, you accept the new terms; if you do not agree, you can stop using it and close your account.

You may stop using MimiKey at any time. Before we discontinue a service we will give at least 30 days' notice and time to export your data.

#11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Disputes shall first be resolved through negotiation; failing that, they shall be submitted to the competent people's court at the domicile of Hangzhou Teminuosi Artificial Intelligence Technology Co., Ltd.
