Windows
MimiKey for Windows is in development and there's no download yet. Here's how to use MimiKey on a Windows PC in the meantime.
Status
MimiKey for Windows is in development, and there is no installer to download yet. When it's ready, it will be available on the download page and is planned for Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit).
Only download MimiKey from the download page on the MimiKey website. Until the Windows app is released, any Windows installer claiming to be MimiKey is not official.
Using MimiKey on Windows today
On a Windows PC, use the web vault:
- Open /app/ in an up-to-date version of Chrome, Edge or Firefox.
- Enter your email address and master password, plus your Secret Key the first time you sign in on that browser.
- View, copy, create and edit items, and manage shared vaults, devices and your plan.
The web vault also encrypts and decrypts in your browser; the server only stores ciphertext. Read the notes on the web vault page first — in particular, don't stay signed in on a shared computer.
Note The MimiKey browser extension currently gets its items from the Mac app, so it doesn't work on Windows yet.
What's planned
The Windows app is intended to cover the same core features as the Mac app: signing in to your account, managing items, syncing, and connecting the browser extension. Features and timing will be confirmed when it's released.
